A practical seminar for diocesan missionaries took place in Samaratranslated

On July 15-16, at the Educational Center at the Church of the Icon of the Mother of God “Tenderness” in the city of Samara, a practical seminar was held for members of the Diocesan Missionary College and missionaries of the parishes of the Samara diocese. The event was held by a member of the Orthodox Missionary Society at the Synodal Missionary Department, head of the missionary service of the Orekhovo-Zuevsky deanery of the Balashikha diocese Pavel Sergeevich Korolev. During the seminar, participants heard reports and exchanged experience in organizing missionary activities in educational institutions and street missions. At the end of the lecture part, the chairman of the missionary department of the Samara diocese, Archpriest Alexy Bogdan, his deputy, Hieromonk Gerasim (Vertey), and missionary assistant from the Novokuibyshev deanery, Priest Andrei Polevoy, gave an interview about the activities of the diocesan department and the specifics of missionary work in the region. At the end of the program, Pavel Sergeevich demonstrated practical methods of conducting a street mission in the park adjacent to the temple.
