News / 09.29.2026 09.29.2026 #Enlightenment An open lecture-seminar by art historian Alexander Arkhangelsky will be held in Samara With the blessing of Metropolitan Feodosius of Samara and Novokuybyshevsk, an open lecture-seminar by Alexander Iosifovich Arkhangelsky, an art historian, specialist in symbolic language in art and inclusive education in the field of culture, will be held in Samara (Moscow). The educational event was organized as part of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the regional Ministry of Youth Policy and the Samara Diocese. The diocesan department of religious education and catechesis, as well as the community of Orthodox teenagers “Fishers of Men” are taking part in preparing the meeting. As part of the seminar dedicated to the topic “What language does art speak?”, the lecturer will reveal in detail the Christian foundations of domestic and European classical culture, and will also analyze the spiritual origins of the classical artistic heritage. The event is addressed to youth audiences aged 14 to 25 years.
