In the Rostov-on-Don diocese, together with the Department of Education of the city of Rostov-on-Don, the pilot project “Talks about important things” continuestranslated

On October 9, 2026, at the MAOU “School No. 60” a working meeting of the principals and clergy was held on the issue of conducting a series of educational meetings on spiritual and moral topics “Talks about what is important” for high school students in the 2025–2026 academic year. The project is being continued in 58 schools in the city.
The meeting was held by the head of EOROiK Olga Shevchenko, deputy head of the Education Department of the city of Rostov-on-Don Margarita Raspevalova, vice-rector for scientific work of the DDS priest Alexy Ovchinnikov.
High school students identified the main topics of conversation as traditional family values, the search for life guidelines, difficulties in relationships with peers and parents, as well as the challenges faced by modern young people.
The first meetings will be held from October 20 to 23, 2026 with teenagers in grades 8-11. The format of the meetings was an open dialogue, where schoolchildren were able to ask questions that concern them and discuss pressing problems without gloss or formality.
Teachers, children and parents note that this format of communication helps teenagers develop critical thinking and get answers to questions that cannot always be found in textbooks.
