On October 21, 2026, a round table was held in the conference hall of the Don Metropolis building on cooperation between the municipal preschool education system and the Rostov-on-Don diocese.

The event, held as part of the XXXI Dimitrievsky educational readings, was attended by the head of the Department of Religious Education and Catechesis of the Rostov-on-Don Diocese, Olga Shevchenko; Adviser to the Head of the Don Metropolitanate on religious education and catechesis, Priest Alexander Verchenko; Deputy Head of the City of Rostov-on-Don for Social Issues Natalia Simachenko; Head of the Department of Education of the city of Rostov-on-Don Alexander Vikhtodenko, as well as heads of city kindergartens.

The participants discussed the issues of spiritual and moral education of preschool children in the context of digitalization and the spread of artificial intelligence technologies, as well as the possibility of forming in children a solid foundation of traditional spiritual and moral values.

During the round table, projects and practices that have been implemented in preschool institutions in Rostov-on-Don for several years were presented.
