The 467th anniversary of the village was celebrated in Roshchinotranslated

On the first Saturday of August, festive events dedicated to the 467th anniversary of the founding of the settlement took place in Roshchino. According to established tradition, the official part of the celebrations was attended by the dean of the Roshchinsky district, rector of the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, Archpriest Dionysius Kholodov.

Together with representatives of the administration, Father Dionysius took part in the ceremony honoring military personnel and families of fallen defenders of the Fatherland. Sergei Normanov was awarded the Order of Courage. The families of the fallen soldiers were also given memorial signs “Family of the Fallen Defender of the Fatherland”, established by the All-Russian public organization of veterans “Combat Brotherhood”.

Archpriest Dionysius Kholodov addressed those gathered with a pastoral word. The priest noted the improvement of Roshchino that had taken place in recent years and wished that, along with the transformation of the village, the main thing remained the spiritual transformation of the people themselves, their life in faith and the grace of God.

As a continuation of the festive program, Father Dionysius also took part in the quiz and was awarded a certificate for correct answers.
