As part of the STEP project, schoolchildren discussed family valuestranslated

On September 25, 2026, at the Kormyanskaya secondary school, as part of the information and educational project “School of Active Citizens” (STEP), a conversation was held on the topic “Family is a small Church.” It was conducted for students in grades 8–11 by Archimandrite Barsanuphius.

The priest spoke about the Christian understanding of family, respect for parents and elders, and the preservation of family traditions. Participants discussed the meaning of unity, mutual responsibility and a willingness to care for each other.

Archimandrite Barsanuphius also gave examples from the lives of holy families in the history of the Orthodox Church. Students participated in the discussion and asked questions.
