The parish of the Church of the Nativity in Brest hosted a “summer playground” for children: sports, excursions and spiritual conversations united children and parentstranslated

In the period from July 13 to 19, a “summer playground” was organized for children aged 6 to 10 years in the parish of the Nativity of Christ in Brest. In total, there were 18 children visiting the “summer playground”. The children’s stay at the “summer playground” was organized by teachers of the parish Sunday religious school with the direct participation of the children’s parents. Members of the parish youth brotherhood, totaling 14 people, took an active part in organizing children's leisure time.
The start of the “summer playground” was preceded by a parent meeting with the participation of teachers and the rector of the church parish, Archpriest Evgeniy Likhota. One of the questions at the meeting was about the importance of parents teaching a personal example of Christian life in general and, in particular, participation in divine services and the Eucharist.
The “summer playground” program included a number of events of both educational and entertainment nature. On the first and last days of the “summer playground” prayer services were held. On the days when the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the church (5 times during the “summer playground”), the children participated in the service and individually began the sacraments of confession and communion.
