On the eve of the Day of the Baptism of Rus', an educational meeting was held in the units of the Russian Guard dedicated to the memory of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and the historical significance of the Baptism of Rus'. The conversation was conducted by the rector of the Church of the Archangel Michael in the village of Tominsky, priest Ioann Parfenov, and the head of the missionary department of the Chelyabinsk diocese, Konstantin Putnik. Father John spoke about the spiritual choice of Prince Vladimir, which determined the further history of the country, emphasizing the special significance of such concepts as responsibility, service and fidelity to duty.
