This year, on the day of the Tikhvin icon, I was on duty in the hospital and could not attend the Liturgy. It's good that at least later I read about the service of Metropolitan Yevgeny in the Novo-Tikhvin estate. This icon always reminds me how Our Lady truly guides and protects.

This year it was an ordinary working day here, so I just lit a candle in the evening in front of a small copy of the Tikhvin icon that my grandmother brought us from Russia. I am glad that Metropolitan Evgenij served in Novo-Tikhvinska, I love when families celebrate in such a calm and dignified manner.

This year it was a working day for us, so I only read the news in the evening. I am glad that Metropolitan Evgenij served in the Novotikhvin family, where the icon is especially revered. Katarina, that grandmother's copy from Russia must have been guarding the house for years.

I am in Tetovo, and this year it was a working day, so only in the evening I lit a candle in front of the icon we have at home. I am glad that Metropolitan Evgeniy served in the Novo-Tikhvin monastery, of course everything is peaceful and beautiful there. Katarina, the grandmother's copy from Russia is surely a real treasure for you.

The article mentions how Metropolitan Evgeniy served right there in the Novo-Tikhvin monastery where the icon is especially venerated. That makes sense — I remember reading once how the sisters there keep the services very orderly and peaceful. Glad a few of you still managed to light a candle at home in the evening.

In Yaroslavl I was also at work that day, only in the evening in the church I lit a candle in front of my Tikhvinskaya. It’s good that Metropolitan Eugene served in Novo-Tikhvinskaya, there is always order and silence there. And whoever has an icon of the house from their grandmother, it really seems like she holds the whole house.

This year it was a working day for us, so I only lit a candle in the evening in front of a small copy of the Tikhvin icon that my mother-in-law brought us from Russia. I am glad that Metropolitan Evgeniy served in Novo-Tikhvinska, everything is always so orderly and peaceful there. As Stepan said, such an icon from grandma really keeps the house.

It was also a working day for us, so I only read the news in the evening. I'm glad you mentioned my grandmother's copy - my aunt from Nis has a similar one, brought from the monastery before the war, and she says she kept the house during all those difficult years. Have you ever been to the Novotikhvin family itself?

Jasmina, nice that you lit a candle even after a working day, that's what counts. Here in Tetovo, the icons at home are the main refuge when we can't get to church. And Katarina's grandmother's copy from Russia really sounds like something special - do you know what period it is from?
