“Pokrovsky meetings” ended at the Orthodox Sosnovy Bor center “Vvedensky”translated

The “Vvedensky” socio-cultural center in the city of Sosnovoborsk hosted the “Pokrovsky Meetings” events dedicated to the Feast of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary. They were aimed at strengthening the spiritual and moral foundations of society through the perception and development of traditional Orthodox culture, as well as at the education, preservation and development of Slavic traditions.

A special place in the program was occupied by work with schoolchildren: the center was visited by more than 100 children from secondary schools of the city - No. 2, No. 3 and gymnasium. Children learned the history of the Intercession holiday, became acquainted with folk traditions and played games.

The “Pokrovsky Meetings” ended with a festive concert, in which the city’s creative groups took part: the ensembles “Lukoshko” and “Vasilyok”, the folk choir “Siberian Mosaic”, the group of veterans “Ivushki” and the Andreev family group. The organizers thanked the leader of the groups, Svetlana Galitskaya, who serves as the regent of the church choir of the parish of the Entry of the Blessed Virgin Mary into the Church, as well as all the participants and guests of the meetings.
