A memorial stone was laid in the village of Yuzhny in honor of the defenders of the Fatherlandtranslated

A solemn ceremony of laying the stone took place in the South Kuban rural settlement. A memorial complex dedicated to the feat of the defenders of the Fatherland will appear on this site.

The event was attended by deputy heads of the district Vitaly Litvinov and Alexander Shatokhin, acting head of the rural settlement Inna Okopnaya, chairman of the local Council of Veterans Vladimir Mishchenko, ataman of the farm Cossack society Vladimir Shkuro, rector of the Church of the Transfiguration Priest David Kocharov, participants in the special military operation, deputies and local residents.

After the welcoming speech, Priest David Kocharov, together with those present, offered prayers to the Lord, prayed for the fallen soldiers and sprinkled holy water on the memorial and the site for the future Walk of Fame.

Then the participants laid flowers at the foundation stone and honored the memory of the heroes with a minute of silence.

The memorial complex will become a symbol of eternal gratitude to those who stood up to defend the Motherland.
