The 400th anniversary was celebrated in the Intercession Church of Tver on the patronal holidaytranslated

The history of the church is connected with the Afanasyevsky, or Sophia, nunnery, founded by Princess Sophia, sister of Mikhail Tverskoy. The first known written mention of the Church of the Intercession dates back to 1626: then the church was wooden and belonged to the monastery.
