A lesson dedicated to National Unity Day was held at the Ozernovskaya schooltranslated

On November 3, 2026, a thematic lesson dedicated to National Unity Day was held at the MAOU “Ozernovskaya Secondary School No. 3” in the village of Ozernovsky, Ust-Bolsheretsk district, Kamchatka Territory.

At the invitation of the school’s deputy director for information and communication technologies, Galina Alekseevna Shapovalova, a meeting with 4th grade students was held by the head of the Missionary Department of the Petropavlovsk and Kamchatka Diocese, priest Sergiy Cheremisin.

The theme of the lesson was the words “One warrior in the field.” Using examples from Russian history, the priest tried to show the children how faith, courage, fortitude and selfless work of even one person can unite many people for a common good cause.

For the meeting, Father Sergius prepared and adapted, taking into account the age of the schoolchildren, a presentation recommended by the Synodal Missionary Department of the Russian Orthodox Church for the Day of National Unity. In addition, the priest used his own presentation dedicated to the outstanding Orthodox missionary and educator of Kamchatka - Metropolitan Nestor (Anisimov).
