A new school year opened in Sunday school in Oshmyanytranslated

After the Sunday Divine Liturgy on the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, a parent meeting was held in the classroom of the spiritual and educational center at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ with the participation of the wife of the rector of the parish, Archpriest George Mucha, Mother Irina, as well as teachers and parents of Sunday school students.

Having started the meeting with prayer, mother thanked the parents for their presence and emphasized the need for religious education and the value of nurturing the spiritual qualities of a child in the family - by her own parental example.

This year, another teacher will begin the process of teaching children, who will prepare newly admitted children for their first confession.

During the meeting, teachers discussed with parents the curriculum for the upcoming school year for 4 age groups, as well as the subsequent participation of children in worship and cultural and educational events, including those affecting the charitable activities of the Oshmyany Varvara Sisterhood. And, of course, they noted the importance of constant dialogue and focus on teaching children, first of all, active Christianity, and not just the letter of the law.
