On October 14, 2026, in the village of Chongwe in the African state of Zambia, the consecration of the foundation stone for the future church of the Russian Orthodox Church in the name of Equal-to-the-Apostles Constantine and Helen took place.

The consecration ceremony was led by the Patriarchal Exarch of Africa, Metropolitan Constantine of Cairo and North Africa, reports the website of the Patriarchal Exarchate.

Also, as part of his visit to this state, Bishop Konstantin celebrated the Liturgy at the parish of the Archangel Michael in the capital of Zambia, Lusaka, discussed with the local clergy issues of the development of church life in the country and met with Charge d'Affaires of Russia in Zambia S.A.
