A memorial service for the fallen soldiers and the opening of the memorial exhibition “Heavenly Warriors” were held at St. Nicholas Churchtranslated

On October 7, a regular memorial service for the dead participants in the hostilities was held in the church in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the Zavolzhsky district of Ulyanovsk. It was performed by the head of the department for church charity and social service of the Simbirsk diocese, rector of the St. Nicholas Church, Archpriest Pavel Putilkin. In memory of the warriors, the image of the Most Holy Theotokos “Sovereign” was given to the church, before which all those present were able to pray for victory.

After the funeral service, the opening of the memorial exhibition “Heavenly Warriors”, dedicated to the deceased parishioners of the church and Sunday school students, took place at the spiritual and educational center “Lestvitsa”.

Archpriest Pavel Putilkin spoke about the idea of ​​​​creating a memorial corner. Sunday school director Anastasia Taimanova gave a tour and talked about the stands and exhibits donated for the exhibition.

The commemorative exhibition was opened as part of the project “We are the territory for OURS” for participants of the special military operation and members of their families, supported by the Presidential Grants Fund. The coordinator of this project, Anna Khorokhorina, spoke about the activities of the participants and the intermediate results.
