The “Russian Court” holiday took place in Murinotranslated

On the initiative of the rector of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr Catherine in the city of Murino, Archpriest Vasily Dovzhansky and with the participation of the “Russian Community”, a holiday of Russian culture, family and good neighborliness “Russian Court” took place on the parish territory.

The event took place on the days of remembrance of the holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Princess Olga and Prince Vladimir. Turning to the history of the Baptism of Rus', the organizers recalled the spiritual foundations of the unity of the people and the significance of the parish as a place of communication, mutual support and joint work.

Ancient Russian games, master classes, soap bubble shows and treats were prepared for children. Participants in the celebration listened to folk songs, danced in circles, and socialized while drinking tea and hot pancakes. The parishioners of the temple baked more than 500 pancakes for the communal meal.

The organizers thanked the volunteers, artists, craftsmen and everyone who helped hold the holiday. “Russian Court” is planned to be continued as a good parish tradition.
