On November 5, 2026, a warm and spiritually filled event was held in Mozhaisk kindergarten No. 3 - a reading competition “The Image of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Poems and Prose.” The meeting was timed to coincide with the celebration of the Day of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the Day of National Unity.

Pupils of preschool institutions took part in the competition, demonstrating high skill, sincerity and a touching reading of poetic and prose works. Representatives of the Department of Education of the Mozhaisk Urban District, as well as teachers of kindergartens in Mozhaisk, gathered to support the young readers.

The honorary guests and members of the competition jury were the rector of the Luzhetsky Nativity of the Virgin Mary Ferapontov Monastery, hegumen David (Kurguzov) and the rector of the Archangel Michael Church, priest Sergius Andriyanov.

The clergy listened carefully to all the children’s speeches, noting the deep emotional reading of each poem. Following the results of the competition, the priests took part in awarding the winners and participants, and presented the children with certificates and memorable gifts.
