A seminar was held in the Mozhaisk correctional colony for correctional officers in the Moscow regiontranslated

A seminar was held at the Mozhaisk Correctional Colony (MVK) for psychologists, educators and social workers of correctional institutions in the Moscow region. The event was chaired by the Deputy Head of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia for the Moscow Region L. V. Skvortsova.

The rector of the Archangel Michael Church in Mozhaisk, the assistant to the head of the International Military Commission for work with believers, priest Sergiy Andriyanov, took part in the seminar. The meeting participants discussed current issues of social and psychological support for convicts, as well as methods for increasing the effectiveness of educational work.

At the end of the official part and summing up the results of the conference, the delegation of GUFSIN employees headed to the Luzhetsky Nativity of the Virgin Mary Ferapontov Monastery. The guests were given an introductory tour of the territory of the historical monastery. There was also a meeting of the seminar participants with Abbot David (Kurguzov), during which issues of spiritual and moral education were discussed.

The event ended in the monastery cafe “Luzhki”, where a tea party with hot coffee and traditional Luzhki pies was organized for the seminar participants.
