A book by Archpriest Alexander Lopushansky about the Hieromartyr Alexy Lelchitsky was presented in Minsktranslated

The book by Archpriest Alexander Lopushansky, “The Life of the Hieromartyr Alexy, Presbyter of Lelchitsky,” was presented at the VIII scientific conference “Saints of White Rus': Current Issues of Veneration and Glorification.” The conference took place on September 24, 2026 at the Patriarchal Representation in Minsk.

The organizer was the Synodal Commission for the Canonization of Saints of the Belarusian Orthodox Church. Its chairman, His Eminence Ambrose, Bishop of Borisov and Maryinogorsk, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech. The conference was moderated by Archpriest Alexander Lopushansky.

The participants discussed issues of the history of church life and veneration of shrines in Belarus. Archpriest Dimitry Shilenok devoted a report to the service of the Orthodox clergy during the Great Patriotic War using the example of priest Ioann Loiko. Priest Konstantin Bayburin spoke about the recently discovered diaries of priest Cosmas Raina, and Priest Alexy Maslenkov spoke about the revered and miraculous icons of the Most Holy Theotokos in Belarus.

The signal edition of the almanac “Proceedings of the Commission for the Canonization of Saints of the Belarusian Orthodox Church” was also presented at the conference. The next issue of the publication will...
