On October 13, the day dedicated to the memory of the Reverend Martyr Grand Duchess Elizaveta Feodorovna Romanova, the heavenly patroness of the Mariinsky Gymnasium, a solemn initiation of pupils into gymnasium students took place at the educational institution. The event was also timed to celebrate the day of the gymnasium.

The director of the gymnasium, Irina Derysheva, congratulated the heroes of the holiday on the important event. After pronouncing the solemn oath, the students were blessed by the rector of the Cathedral of the Archangel Michael, Archpriest Roman Neshcheret. He addressed the girls with spiritual guidance and sprinkled them with holy water.

In the concert hall of the gymnasium, a theatrical sketch dedicated to the life of Saint Elizabeth Feodorovna was presented to guests and participants of the holiday. The production reflected not only the bright pages of her ministry, but also the tragic path - the last days of the Grand Duchess's earthly life, which, like her entire fate, were filled with mercy, compassion and help to others. Young viewers were able to better understand the feat of the saint, her selfless love for God and people.
