A meeting of the metropolitan clergy with members of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports was held in Krasnoyarsktranslated

On October 21, in the conference hall of the Bishops' House of Krasnoyarsk, a meeting was held between the clergy, led by the ruling bishops of the dioceses of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis, and the delegation of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports, who arrived in Krasnoyarsk to participate in the XIV International Sports Forum “Russia – a Sports Power”.

The meeting was opened by the head of the Krasnoyarsk Metropolis, Metropolitan Nikita of Krasnoyarsk and Achinsk, with an opening speech. Then the chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports, Metropolitan of Murmansk and Monchegorsk Mitrofan, addressed the participants. The Bishop told the metropolitan clergy about the forms of work of the clergy with the sports community.

Then the floor was given to Archpriest Bogdan Polevoy, a member of the Patriarchal Commission on Physical Culture and Sports. He told the meeting participants about the formats of parish work in the field of physical education and sports.

Consultant of the Patriarchal Commission Egor Romanov and member of the Public Council under the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation Dmitry Petrovsky spoke about practical steps for interaction between the Church and the state in joint work in the field of physical culture and sports.
