Today, October 7, on the eve of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker of all Russia, with the blessing of the Primate of the Russian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Ekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy celebrated the All-Night Vigil in the Dormition Church of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in co-service with the Metropolitan of Tashkent and Uzbekistan Vincent, Permanent Member of the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church.

According to tradition, prayer celebrations in the Holy Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius were led by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus'. The main service was performed in the Trinity Cathedral of the Lavra, at the relics of St. Sergius.

Before the start of the service, His Holiness venerated the venerable relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh, as well as the “Trinity” icon of St. Andrei Rublev.
