On August 13, 2026, on the eve of the feast of the Origin (destruction) of the Venerable Trees of the Life-giving Cross of the Lord, the Feast of the All-Merciful Savior and the Most Holy Theotokos, as well as the day of remembrance of the seven Maccabean martyrs, their mother Solomonia and their teacher Eleazar, Metropolitan Benjamin of Minsk and Zaslavl, Patriarchal Exarch of all Belarus, committed evening service with the removal of the Holy Cross in the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk. After the great doxology, the Venerable Cross was removed from the altar and the Cross was venerated.
