On October 7, 2026, on the eve of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker, His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' celebrated an all-night vigil in the Trinity Cathedral of the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius. Before the start of the service, His Holiness venerated the venerable relics of St. Sergius of Radonezh, as well as the “Trinity” icon of St. Andrei Rublev. Concelebrating with His Holiness were: Metropolitan Theognost of Kashira, Chairman of the Synodal Department for Monasteries and Monasticism; Metropolitan Arseny of Zvenigorod; Archbishop Thomas of Odintsovo and Krasnogorsk, head of the Administrative Secretariat of the Moscow Patriarchate; Bishop Alexy of Ramensky, personal secretary of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill; inhabitants of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra in holy orders; clergy of Moscow. The liturgical chants were performed by the choir of the Trinity-Sergius Lavra under the direction of Hieromonk Nestor (Volkov).
