The results of the Festival of Slavic Culture were summed up at Kalmyk State University | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

May 22, 2026 at the Kalmyk State University named after B.B. Gorodovikov, the festival “Slavic Week at KalmSU”, dedicated to the Day of Slavic Literature and Culture, ended. The final event was the festival of Russian culture “Slavic Heritage”, held in the assembly hall of educational building No. 6. As part of the festive program, creative performances by students took place: vocal and dance numbers, artistic reading, as well as presentations dedicated to the spiritual and cultural traditions of the Slavic peoples. The decoration of the closing ceremony was the performance of an exemplary group - the children's and youth choir "Joy" of the Sunday school of the Kazan Cathedral in the city of Elista. The key point of the event was the awarding of competition winners and active participants of the festival, as well as the expression of gratitude to the organizers. The festival brought together students, teachers, representatives of the scientific community, cultural figures, as well as representatives of the Elista and Kalmyk diocese of the Russian Orthodox Church and the regional branch of the Assembly of Peoples of Russia.
