The charity event “Let’s get a child ready for school” ended in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ.translated

Dozens of parishioners of the cathedral took part in it. From the brought school supplies, sets were formed for students from 1st to 11th grade. Also, the necessary materials were additionally purchased using donated funds. Volunteers and members of the youth association prepared and assembled school kits for children. The families under their care were invited to the cathedral, where Hieromonk Artemy (Stupnikov) performed a prayer service for the beginning of the school year. After the service, the clergyman sprinkled blessed water on those present and wished the children success in their studies, and the parents strength, patience and God’s help. The guests were given a tour of the lower church of the cathedral. Participants were able to get acquainted with its architecture and decoration, learn about the features of the paintings and shrines of the church. Then each student was given a prepared set of student supplies. We sincerely thank everyone who took part in the action: parishioners, donors, cathedral volunteers. Thanks to your help, children will be able to start the school year with everything they need and in a good mood!
