An event for prisoners under probation was held at the Ivdel branch of the Criminal Executive Inspectoratetranslated

On the eve of the holiday of the Beheading of John the Baptist and the Day of Sobriety, an event was held at the Integrated Center for Social Services for the Population of Ivdel for persons registered with the Ivdel branch of the Criminal Executive Inspectorate of the Main Directorate of the Federal Penitentiary Service. 23 convicts took part in it.

The meeting was organized within the framework of the law on probation (a system of measures to help people who find themselves in difficult life situations) with the participation of the vice-president of the Nika Charitable Foundation and the rector of the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Ivdel, the head of the department for Prison Ministry of the Serov Diocese, Archpriest Alexander Melnikov. The convicts were told about social support measures, the procedure for applying to the probation center, temporary residence, assistance in finding employment and restoration of documents. They showed a presentation about probation centers and examples of successful resocialization. Everyone received brochures and business cards.

Father Alexander spoke about the significance of the feast of the Beheading of John the Baptist and about spiritual and moral values. Also, before this, Father Alexander conducted individual conversations with convicts who applied for spiritual assistance.
