The patronal feast day and the 20th anniversary of the consecration of the church were celebrated in the Ilyinsky Church of Aprelevkatranslated

On August 2, on the day of remembrance of the holy prophet of God Elijah, celebrations on the occasion of the patronal feast took place in the Elias Church in the city of Aprelevka. This year, the festive events acquired special significance, since they were timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the great consecration of the church, performed on August 5, 2006 by Metropolitan Juvenaly of Krutitsy and Kolomna. The history of the creation of the Elias Church has become an example of the unity of the clergy, philanthropists, government officials and city residents, through whose joint efforts one of the spiritual symbols of Aprelevka was erected.

The Divine Liturgy was performed by the rector of the church, Archpriest Alexander Kiryukhin, co-served by the clergy of the Elias Church and the clergy of the Naro-Fominsk deanery. At the end of the service, a festive religious procession took place.

Numerous parishioners and guests of the holiday prayed during the service. Among the guests of honor were Moscow Regional Duma deputy Alexander Nikolaevich Baranov, Moscow Regional Duma deputy Dmitry Iosifovich Kozhushko, head of the Aprelevka Territorial Administration, as well as the architect of the Elias Church Alexander Petrovich Dyukov.
