On September 25-26, on the feast of the Resurrection of the Word, an unusual service was held in the church in honor of the icon of the Mother of God “The Inexhaustible Chalice” - an all-night vigil and liturgy with elements of the Easter service. The celebration was established on the occasion of the construction and consecration in 335 on the site of the Passion of the Cross, burial and Resurrection of the Savior of the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Jerusalem. The consecration of this church was a holiday no less than Easter - the holiness of this place is so great in the eyes of Christians. According to ancient tradition, in churches dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, as well as with the blessing of the ruling bishop in some other parishes, the service is performed with the Easter rite. This holiday reminds how dear the churches of God are to believers! Previously, such a service had not been performed in Novosibirsk, but no fewer people gathered in the church for this holiday than for the night Easter service. Many expressed gratitude for the Easter joy given in the middle of autumn and expressed the wish that this practice would become a good tradition for our city.
