On October 9, 2026, a patronal feast was celebrated in the church in honor of the Apostle and Evangelist John the Theologian in the village of Grushevskaya, Aksai district. This year the parish celebrates the 125th anniversary of its founding.
The Divine Liturgy on the throne day was led by the dean of the parishes of the Aksai district, Hieromonk Vikenty (Svistunov), who was co-served by the rector of the church, Hieromonk Kliment (Kryuchkov) and clergy of the diocese.
Praying during the service were the abbot of the Donskoy Starocherkassky Efremovsky Monastery, Abbot Sergius (Kolomits), the dean of the monastery, Hieromonk Nikon (Sadulsky), the head of the administration of the Grushevsky rural settlement, Nikolai Onishchenko, the chairman of the Assembly of Deputies of the Grushevsky rural settlement, Natalya Gordienkova, the ataman of the village of Grushevskaya, Alexander Aponasenko, and the director of the Grushevskaya Secondary School.
