At the church in Solgon village, the first lesson of "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture" took place.translated

On September 11, fourth-grade students from the Solgon School, together with their teacher of "Fundamentals of Orthodox Culture," visited the local Church of the Holy Trinity. The priest in charge of the church, Hieromonk George Tyunkiv, warmly welcomed the schoolchildren and conducted a lesson within the walls of the church.
The children heard the history of the church, examined ancient icons, learned about the differences between painting and iconography, as well as why prayer is necessary and who the saints are. The students saw the Royal Doors from the inside and received answers to questions about why candles are placed before icons.
This meeting was made possible by an agreement on cooperation between the school and the parish, which has been in effect since spring of the previous year. At the end, each student received a blessing from Father George, and the most curious were able to ask their own questions.
