A sisterhood Divine Liturgy and initiation into sisters of mercy were celebrated at the Church-Monument on the Bloodtranslated

On Sunday morning, November 1, 2026, the day of remembrance of the Holy Martyr Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, a Divine Liturgy was held at the Church on the Blood with the participation of sisters of mercy from 15 sisterhoods of the Yekaterinburg diocese.

On this day, initiation into sisters of mercy also took place, and 25 sisters received blessings for further service with the placing of apostles on their heads - headdresses emphasizing humility and the desire to serve their neighbors.

The solemn service was led by the confessor of the St. Panteleimon Sisterhood, head of the Department of Social Ministry of the Yekaterinburg Diocese and rector of the Assumption Cathedral, Archpriest Evgeniy Popichenko. Concelebrating with him were the confessor of the sisterhood in the name of the holy passion-bearer Queen Alexandra Feodorovna, Archpriest Igor Bachinin, and the confessor of the sisterhood at the Church of the Holy Martyrs Sts.
