On September 5, 2026, on Vosstaniya Square in Gomel, a solemn ceremony was held to bring cadets of the Military Transport Faculty to the military oath of allegiance to the people of the Republic of Belarus. The event was attended by the dean of the churches of the Gomel city district, Archpriest Igor Olshanov.

In the ranks were first-year cadets - future railway soldiers, military motorists, representatives of the State Border Committee and internal troops. In a solemn atmosphere in front of a line of comrades and in the presence of their parents, the freshmen took the military oath, vowing to sacredly fulfill their military duty.

Congratulating the cadets, Major General Yuri Shaplavsky noted the responsibility that now falls on young military personnel and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace, stability, tranquility and harmony in Belarus.

The young replenishment was blessed to serve the Fatherland by the dean of the churches of the Gomel city district, Archpriest Igor Olshanov.
