Preparations for the Batleyan Art Festival were discussed in Gomeltranslated

On October 15, 2026, with the blessing of His Eminence Stefan, Archbishop of Gomel and Zhlobin, a working meeting was held in the conference hall of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord to prepare the festival of batlean art. The festival will be held within the framework of the project “Batleyka and Faith: Common Ground - Family”, winner of the international grant competition “Orthodox Initiative”.

The meeting was attended by the rector of the parish of the Church of the Transfiguration of the Lord, Archpriest Oleg Kostroma, the chairman of the department of religious education and catechesis of the Gomel diocese, Archpriest Artemy Krivitsky, the director of gymnasium No. 58 named after F. P. Gaaz Alexander Viktorovich Kravchenko and the director of the Uritsky secondary school Marina Vasilyevna Belko.

The participants exchanged views on the content and format of the festival and developed its concept.
