On October 26, 4th grade students of Dedovskaya School No. 1 attended an educational excursion to the St. George Church in the city of Dedovsk.

The excursion for the children was conducted by the cleric of the church, priest Dionisy Klychkov. Father Dionysius introduced the children to the internal structure of the church and talked about the saints depicted on the icons. The story about St. Sergius of Radonezh aroused particular interest among schoolchildren. Father Dionysius also drew the children’s attention to the picturesque frescoes and explained which church holidays were depicted on them. In an accessible form, the priest talked with the guests about what a sacrifice to God is, after which all the children were able to light candles.

At the end of the meeting, each student received a sweet candy cockerel as a gift, and Father Dionysius invited everyone to come to the church for services.
