Meetings with young people have resumed in Elista as part of the project “With Faith in the Heart” | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

With the beginning of the new school year in Elista, the work of the “With Faith in the Heart” project, which is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kalmykia and the Interreligious Council of the Republic of Kalmykia, has resumed. The project is aimed at the spiritual and moral education of young people. The initiators of the project, which began work last academic year, were the drug control unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kalmykia and the department of religious education and catechesis of the Elista diocese. Meetings with students resumed on September 23. During September, events were held in educational institutions of Elista, including Trade and Technology, Polytechnic, Medical and Pedagogical Colleges, College of Oil and Gas, College of Arts and Kalmyk State University. Students also visited the National Library named after A. M. Amur-Sanan and the National Museum named after N. N. Palmov.

The events were attended by representatives of the internal affairs bodies, psychologists, the clergy of the Kazan Cathedral, representatives of the Buddhist and Muslim communities of the republic. The Elista diocese was represented at meetings with young people by Archpriest Anatoly Sklyarov, Archpriest Yuri Kotinov and Archpriest Anthony Zimovets.…
