A concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Savior took place in Elista | Elista and Kalmyk diocesetranslated

On September 19, 2026, the Kalmyk State Philharmonic hosted a concert of sacred music by the State Choir of the Republic of Kalmykia named after. A. Tsebekov, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Savior in Elista. As part of the concert program from the “Evening with the Choir” series, spiritual works by Georgy Sviridov, Yuri Falik, Pavel Chesnokov, Alexander Arkhangelsky, as well as Byzantine Orthodox chants were performed. The concert was attended by clergy of the Elista diocese. At the end of the concert, on behalf of Archbishop Justinian of Elista and Kalmykia, Archpriest Alexey Grishchenko conveyed words of gratitude to the artistic director of the State Choir of the Republic of Kazakhstan Olga Serdyukova, as well as the entire ensemble for participating in the festive events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Savior in Elista.
