Today, September 15, 2026, at the Ural State Law University of Yekaterinburg, Metropolitan of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye Evgeniy performed the ceremony of laying the first stone in the foundation of the future church.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the chairman of the diocesan department for relations between the Church and society and the media, senior priest of the Church-Monument on the Blood, Archpriest Maxim Minyailo; rector of the church in honor of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on the Apostles “Big Chrysostom” in the city of Yekaterinburg, Priest Viktor Yavich; the rector of the parish in the name of St. Innocent, Metropolitan of the Moscow city of Yekaterinburg, priest Ilya Alexandrov, protodeacons Igor Romanenko and Dimitry Tarantin, other clergy of the Yekaterinburg diocese.

Upon completion of the laying ceremony, the ruling bishop congratulated the Ural State Law University on the holiday and gave the bishop's blessing. Bishop Eugene wished leaders, teachers, students, and citizens to listen to the voice of conscience.
