On Saturday, October 17, 2026, a casting took place for the future television film about the city of St. Catherine. The winners and runners-up of the “My City of St. Catherine” competition from previous years took part in the filming of short video cards in which they talked about the city’s Heavenly Patroness.

To participate in the auditions, young residents of Yekaterinburg prepared monologues - an answer to the question “What qualities of St. Catherine are relevant today?” or “Which places in the city remind of its Heavenly patroness?”

– The Holy Great Martyr Catherine, among all the knowledge that she had, was able to single out the most necessary true knowledge – knowledge about God. It must be said that the Holy Great Martyr Catherine was distinguished by incredible perseverance and fiery faith, without which, of course, it would not have been possible to endure all the torment and trials that befell her,” noted Alexandra Yuraneva, winner of the competition in 2023.

The guys talked not only about the spiritual qualities of the saint, but also about how her image lives in modern urban space.
