From September 28 to 29, 2026, by the blessing of the chairman of the Interdepartmental Commission on Issues of Monastic Education of the Russian Orthodox Church, Archimandrite Stefan (Tarakanov), abbot of the Savvino-Storozhevsky stavropegial men's monastery, an accreditation group visited the Don Metropolitan District with the aim of accrediting basic theological education courses for monastics.
