On September 10, 2026, the first meeting of the Academic Council of the new academic year was held at the Don Theological Seminary. The work of the council was attended by the vicar of the Rostov diocese, Bishop Artemy of Taganrog, the rector of the seminary, Doctor of Theology Archpriest Timofey Fetisov, the vice-rector for the development of the educational cluster of the Don Theological Seminary, the vice-rectors for educational, scientific and educational work, the heads of the regency-singing and icon-painting departments, the head of the educational center at the DDS, heads of departments, the secretary of the Academic Council, management master's departments.

The Council discussed the prospects for the development of the educational and educational process in the seminary in the context of the formation of a spiritual and educational cluster. Bishop Artemy spoke about the features and progress of the design of the educational cluster and plans for its implementation.

Separately, the results of the admissions campaign were summed up for all departments of the seminary - theological and pastoral, icon painting, regency and singing, magistracy and the educational center.
