ON DIMITRIEVSKY PARENTAL SATURDAY, BISHOP PORFIRY PERFORMED THE DIVINE LITURGY AND REMEMBER SERVICE AT MIKHAILOVSKY CATHEDRALtranslated

On November 7, Dimitrievskaya Parental Saturday, Bishop Porfiry of Lida and Smorgon celebrated the Divine Liturgy and requiem in the Cathedral of the Holy Archangel Michael.

Concelebrating with His Eminence was the cathedral cleric, Priest Seraphim Pashkevich. The diaconal rank was headed by Protodeacon Anatoly Melnitsky.

The liturgical chants were performed by the cathedral choir under the direction of regent Veronica Olshanets.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy, Bishop Porfiry led a memorial service for all deceased Orthodox Christians “from this century to this day,” then addressed those present with a sermon and gave an archpastoral blessing.
