A traditional religious procession took place in the village of Razdolyetranslated

On October 11, the day of remembrance of the discovery of the relics of the Venerable Martyr Elizabeth Feodorovna, a traditional procession of the cross was held in the village of Razdolye.

The prayer procession with the relics of the holy venerable martyrs Elizabeth and Barbara began from the Church of the Holy Royal Passion-Bearers and headed to the “House in Freedom” - a place of assisted living for people with severe multiple developmental disabilities.

The relics of the saints were donated to the church by the head of the Russian spiritual mission in Jerusalem, Abbot Alexy (Biron) in the year the House opened. Since then, the venerable martyrs have been considered the heavenly patrons of the merciful ministry of the church.

The icon “Prayer for the Chalice,” which belonged to Grand Duchess Elizabeth Feodorovna, added special solemnity to the procession.

Residents and workers of the House greeted the participants in the procession with great joy.
