On November 4, 2026, on the day of the celebration of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, as part of the program of spiritual and moral education of the personnel of the military unit, the spiritual nourishment of which is provided by the rector of the church, Archpriest German Kiselev, conscripts visited the Church of Demetrius of Thessalonica in the city of Novocherkassk and prayed at the Divine Liturgy.

At the end of the service, Archpriest German addressed the servicemen with parting words. The priest spoke about the feat of the defenders of the Fatherland in 1612, as well as about the historical events that served as the basis for establishing a celebration in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God.

At the end of the meeting, Archpriest German gave the servicemen a blessing and sprinkled them with holy water.
