On July 18, 2026, on the feast of the discovery of the honorable relics of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk served with His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus' at the Divine Liturgy in the Holy Trinity Lavra of Sergius. The festive service was held on the Cathedral Square of the monastery in front of the revered icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh. A throne was installed in the canopy in front of the Dormition Cathedral of the Lavra. Concelebrating with His Holiness were permanent members of the Holy Synod, heads of metropolises, chairmen of synodal institutions, Metropolitan Theodosius of Samara and Novokuibyshevsk, and a host of bishops and clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church.
