On the day of remembrance of St. Sergius of Radonezh, a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the village of Torfyanoetranslated

Today, October 8, on the day of remembrance of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker of all Russia, a festive Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Torfyanoe, Priozersk district.

The service was led by the dean of the Priozersk district, Archpriest Sergius Belkov, who celebrates his name day on this day. Concelebrating with the father rector were: Abbot Seraphim, Archpriest Dimitry Zvezdilin, Priest Alexander Semenov, Priest Oleg Karataev and Deacon Andrei Solovyov.

Church parishioners, guests, as well as graduates of the Abode of Healing together with their families prayed during the service.

At the end of the Liturgy, the clergy and believers offered a prayer to St. Sergius of Radonezh, asking the saint for intercession and help in the matter of salvation. The parishioners and fellow clergy cordially congratulated the dean on his name day, wishing him strength of spiritual and physical strength, peace and many years to come.
