On October 8, 2026, on the day of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, wonderworker, the Head of the Don Metropolis, Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk Mercury, celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Rostov Cathedral of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

His Eminence was served by the chairman of the parish council of the cathedral, Archpriest Alexander Bryantsev, the rector of the cathedral, Priest Dimitry Bolotaev, the deputy head of the Diocesan Department for Relations between the Church and Society and the Media, Priest Sergius Gribov, and clergy of the cathedral.
