On October 8, the day of the repose of St. Sergius, abbot of Radonezh, Bishop Ignatius of Polotsk and Glubokoe led a patronal celebration in the church in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh on the basis of the Orthodox educational center under construction in Novopolotsk.
At the walls of the church, the archpastor was greeted with a loaf of bread, flowers and poems by a children's Orthodox choir led by Zhanna Leonidovna Belun.
Concelebrating with His Eminence were: the secretary of the Polotsk diocese, Archpriest Alexander Petlitsky, the confessor of the diocese, Archpriest Alexander Karandey, Priest Alexander Talerenak, Priest Andrei Babushkin, Priest Alexander Kozel, Priest Mikhail Talerenak, Priest Georgy Dubovsky, the rector of the parish of the Church of the Presentation of the Lord in Minsk, Priest John Borisevich, Deacon Vladimir Dzhezhora, Deacon John Kamenkov, Deacon Boris Marmuzevich.
