On the day of remembrance of the Apostle Thomas, a translation of the New Testament into Indonesian was presented in Jakartatranslated

On October 19, 2026, on the day of remembrance of the Apostle Thomas, celebrations took place in the capital of Indonesia, the city of Jakarta, in the church in honor of the Apostle Thomas of the Singapore diocese of the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia of the Russian Orthodox Church.

In concelebration with the clergy, the festive Liturgy was performed by the vicar of the Singapore diocese, Bishop Pitirim of Jakarta, the Patriarchal Exarchate of Southeast Asia reports on its social networks.

After the service, a significant event took place at the parish - with the blessing of the Patriarchal Exarch of Southeast Asia, Metropolitan Sergius of Singapore and Southeast Asia, an edition of the New Testament in Indonesian was presented.

The celebrations ended with a common meal, during which the clergy communicated with the parishioners.
